Parrish Family Scholarship
The Parrish family has given of their time, talent, and treasure for over 60 years. Huntington V. Parrish began a legacy of commitment to the community in 1951 as one of the seven founders of the Hamilton Community Foundation. He served the Foundation as president and chairman of the legal and distribution committees during his 22 years of service. Until his death in 1973, Hunt continued to stress the importance of a community foundation for the benefit of Hamilton residents. His wife, Katherine, continued the legacy of commitment by establishing the Parrish Family Fund in his memory in 1977.
Leading by example, Huntington and Katherine instilled the importance of giving back to the community in their three children, Lee, Pat, and Cindy, who have followed in their parent’s footsteps by joining the Foundation’s efforts for a combined total of over 95 years.
Lee Parrish joined the Foundation in 1974, where he serves as legal counsel. Lee served as President of the Board of Trustees for two terms. Lee strongly believes in the work of the Foundation and has helped tremendously over the years by sharing his knowledge with clients, estate planners, and friends. For more than 37 years, through his wise counsel and diligence, Lee has been instrumental in helping the Foundation complete many worthwhile projects. Lee continues to serve the Foundation as its Legal Council.
The Parrish Family established this scholarship fund to continue their legacy of giving back to support students from Stephen T. Badin or Hamilton High School with financial need wishing to continue their education after high school.
